Indonesia is very unbelievably unique in many many ways. It actually has the potential to prosper its people and the world. It is a host of immense biological diversity which is world”s true treasure. It has the potential to be the lung of the earth.
We, Indonesians and people who share the same view, still to work hard to get close to that ideals. In some area of work we are still far behind and lagging, but in other, we are making real progress worth noting.
Unfortunately more often than not, the world and even Indonesians themselves forgot to appreciate the small and even considerable progress and rather focus on the failure. Probably, it is most relevant in case of Indonesia’s image, bad news sells.
In that regards, I think it is necessary for Indonesians and the world to acknowledge and appreciate whatever progresses made. For Indonesians, this is important if we really expect others to appreciate us. Such positive evaluation serves also as a useful exercise for Indonesians to build upon these forward momentum. Indonesians need to leave negative approach behind while retaining logical criticism so that we are not kept busy with never-ending quarrels.
It is time for us to move forward… to do so, we need to remember and note whatever progress we have made, whatever contribution we have done to ourselves and to the rest of the world. To this end, this blog is dedicated!
